Purpose

Acquiring the true purpose(s) for any endeavor is a kind of secret insurance.

Carefully stated – purpose is what lights ones personal fire.

And its also the fire that lights up the true reason for a book, message, business or cause – giving more life to them.

The public responds to this as they feel instinctively that one who has true purpose for something- is coming from a place of integrity and good intention.  As this makes them want to read your story, believe in your product, become involved in your cause, etc., as a sense of trust has been created….so they are more willing to listen.

Sincere purpose represents the deeper reasons why one does something or why an activity has been created.  And the purposes with the broadest scope – usually go beyond revenue or personal gain.  And in so doing, interestingly enough… usually end up creating more revenue in the long run anyway.  A happy consequence! 

Audience Trust

When you enhance audience trust, you create a kind of bond with them, so this trust should never be violated. For what you have done is capture their hearts and minds with something real…. something they can relate to.  As they sense your message is more than marketing and that you’re speaking to them personally.

And it is this extra element – along with any market research surveys – that changes the power of your message, and thus your campaign success. As now you’ve captured your true public – the ones who believe in your message and what it stands for.

Strategic Plan

The right strategy makes things work.

It opens doors that have previously been closed…and handles barriers that are standing in the way of the outcomes you want.

A real strategic plan is the umbrella over which all marketing, PR and media out-reach activities fit inside; and is the coordinating factor that drives the train in the right direction and keeps it from being derailed.

A true strategy is the realistic ‘how’ one is going to achieve his goals…and is based on existing resources:  resources that are used in a clever way so that one doesn’t have to go into debt in order to carry out the plan.

Not only does it solve existing barriers … but problems that may reveal themselves farther up the line… those nagging ‘what if’s’ that you fear could come to life.  So these potential pitfalls are dealt with now.. under the umbrella of a good strategic plan …so they don’t have the power to derail you later.

Why Do Some Give Up?

It is often the derailment mentioned above that causes otherwise industrious people to lose heart in projects they’ve put much time and labor into, only to have them stalled or stopped at the last moment.  So they may simply give up…or worse – lose faith in their ability to overcome barriers.

But this doesn’t have to happen…as the right strategy unites all factors into one over-riding strategy; and that strategy is what creates the tactical day-to-day actions that allow plans to succeed without any missteps to side track you.

So between igniting the fire of your true purpose… and putting together a strategy that is uniquely yours…your message will now be set apart from all others, no matter how crowded the playing field is.

And this is what also makes your media plans work to your advantage!

Question: Would you set out to build a building without benefit of blue-print and a solid foundation on which to build it…?

Not if you wanted the building to stay up..!
