Some of the most profound changes taking place in the culture are those having to do with a heightened awareness by the public that our country is in serious trouble and needs help!

I won’t bore you with all the negative aspects of this.. as these I’m sure you’re very aware of!  Except to say that along with this is the realization that many of us can help, in a variety of ways, that aren’t as time-consuming or complicated as we may have thought.

Further, its been demonstrated that by helping the culture we’re also helping ourselves! This is an old idea: that by helping others we are also helping ourselves in the process. But it’s precisely because this idea has power in it …that it has continued to be true through time. The old Buddhist tenant of what goes around comes around turns out to be how the universe actually works!

Many of us help others daily but few are aware of it’s true value culturally. For its in those moments when we reach out to assist a colleague or friend  through a difficult challenge that we’re helping to make a better playing field for everyone. As there’s a generosity of spirit at play when we help others overcome obstacles and win.  And that’s powerful stuff!

This concept has brought great satisfaction to me over the years as its been all about helping where needed; and sometimes beyond my normal  job description. For taking an already able person and bringing them closer to realizing their dreams…or assisting them through a difficult challenge … makes it possible for them to do the same for others in the future.  So its truly a win-win..:)

Path Finder

I’m still helping artists, authors and executives with the Scale of Importances so they’ll have real strategic planning to help speed the progress of their goals and projects. This administrative road map helps to keep them on track so they don’t get distracted and lose time or money in the process. For no matter how technology changes over time, having a simple but powerful strategy tool to help bring plans up to the next level – will always be valuable. For what good is technology if it doesn’t allow us to achieve our goals effectively?

Having the right strategy makes all the difference!  What did the famous Sun Tzu say about this subject?

I don’t know about you, but I like being able to bring things down to their essence, their basic principles, so they are easy to understand.

When you live in a complex world there’s a tendency to assume that our work and educational tools must be complex also. But this is a misnomer built up by those who have bought into the ‘it must be complex to be credible theory’ and have become so blinded by it that they can’t separate the wheat from the chaff in terms of  ‘priority of data’. In other words, knowing what is most important, and then factoring in all the rest.

If we buy into protocols that are too complex, we can sometimes feel dull or unsophisticated for not being able to easily grasp them.  Don’t get me wrong, sometimes the latest technological breakthrough can be a fantastic enhancement to our quality of life! …. as long as its application is straight forward without unnecessary hills to climb which keep us from seeing if it truly adds value to what we’re doing.

Simply put: at bottom,  all subjects come down to a basic concept that can be easily understood and applied.  And if they don’t …you know you’ve not hit the most basic principle of that subject, and had better keep studying until you see the light of day on it.  Or, in some cases, until you deduce that someone has added unnecessary complexities to the subject to either hide it’s flaws or just make it uber technical!

Soldiers of Light
Talk about pure joy..!   This is what the creation of the Soldiers of Light movement is doing for others as we begin to see that its purpose can ultimately be realized, no matter the cynicism extant in the world.  And it’s precisely because we live in the challenging times that we do, that this tool for making a better world was created. It can be used with any philosophy or creed that seeks a kinder and more rational world. No membership required…just an intention to help.

Whether it’s the lack of media standards, the push to pervert the values our country was built on, the encroachment of political correctness invading our freedom of speech, or the apathy that washes over a person because of these concerns… it has become clear that more help is needed. The good news being that its actually easier to do than most people realize!
